Free KFC dating sim

I Love You, Colonel Sanders! is a free-to-play simulation that lets you play as an aspiring business partner for Kentucky Fried Chicken, the popular fastfood chain. However, more than selling the world-famous KFC meals, this visual novel also leads you into a love affair with a younger, fictionalized version of Col. Harland Sanders, the KFC founder.

Featuring a wacky yet believable premise, a mix of different animation and art styles, and a cohesive story, I Love You, Colonel Sanders! is one of those fanmade games that has really developed a following. It’s like Doki Doki Literature Club! or JOHN DOE+.

Enter the delicious world of food

In I Love You, Colonel Sanders!, you take on the role of a promising culinary student and a classmate to the young Col. Sanders. Most of the game focuses on the university setting, with you and the Colonel interacting together with the rest of the class. Each of these characters has their own personality and some of them even offer fleshed-out stories, hidden in between lines of dialogue.

Talking about the visuals, it offers a wide variety of art styles that further suit the characters. Of course, you can’t miss Colonel Sanders rendered in Japanese anime style, complete with the signature black bowtie, a red apron, and white hair. Other characters, like Professor Dog, is a fluffy corgi rendered in a Western-cartoon style. Either way, these designs add more depth and make the game more enjoyable.

However, fans of KFC fanmade materials might be a little frustrated since the good endings are difficult to unlock. There are multiple endings available, ranging from the best endings where you end up with the Colonel, to bad ones where your dreams fall apart. Also, it’s worth noting that the game has battle mechanics and that it was officially commissioned by the restaurant chain.

A must-try visual novel

I Love You, Colonel Sanders! is commissioned by KFC for a marketing campaign, and though it started off as a parody of the genre, it has now become a modern cult classic for dating sims fans. Its younger, anime-style Colonel, joined by a host of colorful characters all contribute to the game being a success. Its best ending is elusive, but it’s still a fun game you can play repeatedly.
